hi, thanks so much for the add... its nice to know that there's a site like this in multiply... : ) |

Hi tyriezejaezle ! Thanks for visiting our site. How much breastmilk she can produce is always a main concern of a working mom. Fortunately, a mom's body is equiped in every way to supply just the right amount of milk that baby needs. It's the law of supply and demand...the more you take out (and more often) the more likely you are to continue producing. The first key is to RELAX. Stress is a major cause of decrease in milk supply. Worrying too much about how much milk you produce is STRESS! hee hee hee As a mother of four, I exclusively breastfed (through breast or bottle through pump) for 8 months...the third even while working. My fourth (a girl) I breastfed for 1 year and 6 months...not working but traveling frequently. Through it all, my pump was my savior. Now, not all pumps are created equal...I prefer the avent one and the medela. To keep up my milk production, I let no more than four hours go by without pumping or breastfeeding. I also took in a lot of malunggay in broth and a wonederful tea from Healthy Options called Mother's Milk ( i think it was) by Traditional Medicinals. On the weekends, I would breastfeed exclusively and try to pump after feeding to stimulate more production. I'll post more info in a blog but hope this helps so far. Breastfeeding is THE best thing for you and baby....it reduces your chances of getting breast cancer. Warm Regards and God Bless! |

Hi " mabsyi ", Thank you for your note. Just tell your Mom to take it one day at a time, that she has to...just for a season....stop being wonder woman and just focus on herself and her own healing first. Tell her always how much you all still need her and that she has to get better. At the same time, follow her doctors advice and instructions every step of the way and above all pray and never loose hope. As for you, take it easy also. Feel free to ask questions anytime. God bless...Maritoni |
